The Fat Hen Supper Club starts in 2015. Dates to be confirmed in due course
This is a sociable evening event, open to everyone so come on your own or with a friend. You will be seated at one of 3 long farmhouse tables and supper will showcase the very best of Cornish seasonal wild food. This will include Cornish fish, shellfish and/or game as well as our foraged ingredients.
It is a relaxed and laid back affair; you will get a chance to see and hear about all the wild ingredients used in the meal, with a cooking demonstration given and opportunities to try and taste all manner of wild concoctions.
There will be a set menu for the supper but we can cater for vegetarians and food intolerances. Choose your options from the set menu and contact us if you have any special dietary requirements.
We will be seating up to 24 people. This event is currently BYO.
The Fat Hen Cookery School is available as a lunch or dinner venue for up to 22 people. We can cater for private birthday parties, dinner parties, work parties, hen & stag parties, anniversaries etc.
You get to choose from a straightforward lunch or dinner with optional extras which include:
- A guided foraging walk prior to lunch or dinner
- Aperitifs on arrival ( e.g: prosecco with roses, elderflower moxitos, muddled brambles)
- Cookery demonstration (e.g: fish filleting; rabbit butchery; handmade wild spinach pasta)
- Use of the space for a meeting afterwards. We have a projector and film screen which can be used for presentations, films and slideshows.
We aim to source as many of our ingredients as possible from the wild, foraged by Caroline, or from local growers and local food providers. We get our fish, shellfish and game direct from the source from local fishermen and hunters to ensure we have the freshest best quality ingredients.
