FORAGE & FEAST DAYS AT THE GURNARD’S HEAD, ZENNOR 2017

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This day is for anyone wanting to combine a great appetite building walk along the magnificent north coast path with an indulgent wild food lunch of 4 courses, cooked by head chef Jack Clayton in the pub afterwards. We will get to see a range of coastal grassland and hedgerow wild foods on the walk whilst enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the cliffs along this stretch of the coast path.

COURSE OUTLINE:

The day starts with coffee and introductions from Caroline, followed by a 2.5 hour foraging walk. This is one of the most demanding foraging walks that I do and involves uneven terrain with some steep sections of the coast path. We will return to the pub for our 4 course wild lunch. Max will be on hand afterwards to answer any questions you have about the use of the wild ingredients in his cooking.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE COURSE?

Coffee/tea & biscuits on arrival, 4 course wild lunch. Any wines or beers from the restaurant’s bar are additional to the cost of this day.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

A bottle of water, waterproof clothing, walking shoes/boots or wellies, pen & notebook, camera.

IS THE COURSE SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS?

Yes, there are always vegetarian options. We also cater for food intolerances such as dairy or gluten free diets. Please let us know in advance.
