ABOUT FAT HEN ACCOMMODATION The Old Wash House and The Goat Barn (see below) are available to let for self catering holidays, private foraging breaks, residential workshops and hen weekends. These are available all year round, with the exception of during our Gourmet Wild Food Weekends, when we can only accommodate tents and camper vans. Please get in touch if you need help finding accommodation. We can arrange taxi transfers from Fat Hen on Saturday night back to your accommodation with a pick up on Sunday morning.

THE OLD WASH HOUSE 'The Old Wash House' is one wing of a granite barn complex, recently restored in 2010 using traditional and ecological materials. It had been designed as a peaceful retreat for couples or small families (2 adults and 2 children). The chunky wooden beams, eco-limed pine floors, handmade turquoise tiles and 'Clearview' wood burner together create a peaceful and relaxing space to spend your romantic break or family holiday. We provide goose down duvets and white cotton bed linen for your stay. The Old Wash House has its own private courtyard garden with table, chairs and barbeque, use of the main lawned garden with a trampoline for children, and wireless internet access. You will find free range chickens wandering around the garden, and we welcome well behaved dogs! The Wharf If you are looking to make a holiday of your visit to Fat Hen check out this gorgeous self catering boutique style beach retreat for two in Mousehole. It's a Grade II-listed cottage overlooking the harbour, and features Cornish art and design. This has been voted one of The Observer's Top Ten Beach Retreats (5.5 miles from Fat Hen)

THE GOAT BARN 'The Goat Barn' is the other wing of the granite barn complex, also recently restored and completed in 2010. The Goat Barn is a large (60m2) multi use space heated by a large Clearview wood burner. We have created a beautiful space in the Goat Barn, the interior being decorated with Indian silk saris and local art. The Goat Barn has many uses, from Fat Hen's dining room, to cinema, to workshop space. There is a sleeping mezzanine in the Goat Barn which can sleep two people on twin beds. The Goat Barn is available to hire for workshops, residential retreats, hen weekends and holidays. It is a unique and unconventional space and can be hired in conjunction with The Old Wash House for larger groups. It is also possible to hire the Goat Barn by itself on a daily or hourly basis for use as a workshop space or cinema. Please contact Caroline to discuss your individual requirements.

Hotel Penzance If you'd prefer hotel accommodation then Hotel Penzance with The Bay Restaurant is close to Penzance train station and 5 miles from Fat Hen. Tower Park Camping Situated in the village of St Buryan, a 2 mile walk from Fat Hen by public footpath across the fields or 3 miles by road. Cardinney Camping Park Situated 1.5 miles from Fat Hen just off on the A30 at Crows-An-Wra, towards Lands End. Castle Horneck Youth Hostel Situated just outside Penzance, 4 miles from Fat Hen.
