| | THE
GOAT BARN | back The Goat Barn was a derelict granite barn until 2006 when we began to restore it using traditional and ecological materials. We finally completed it in 2009. We have created a beautiful space for dining, the interior decorated with Indian silk saris and local art. It is heated by a large wood burner and lit by candlelight and is the location for feasting during our Gourmet Wild Food Weekends. |

We have a film projector which I use for a wild food slide show during the Saturday night celebrations, a wild food display table and long rustic trestle tables which we dine at. FAT
HEN'S FARMHOUSE KITCHEN
| back Our kitchen was completed in 2008 after years of evolution. It takes up most of the downstairs of our house and is the centre of our life. To quote a t.v director when he came to film in it; 'if mother nature had a kitchen this would be it.' |
| |
![]() ![]() | ![]() We have a huge solid ash farmhouse kitchen table which was locally crafted and is the location for the main cooking demonstrations of the weekend. Our guests stand around the kitchen table whilst our chefs demonstrate the wild dishes of the weekend. On Wild Food Taster Days we cook communally and eat in the kitchen. | |
